After almost 25 years at the helm of RAWE Electronic GmbH, Markus Hertkorn will retire at the end of 2025. However, he will remain with the company as a member of the advisory board.
Under his leadership, the electronics service provider based in Weiler im Allgäu developed into a successfully growing company with a broad industry focus and sustainable success.
In 2009, RAWE acquired the Swiss company Tefag Elektronik AG and in 2021, Mair Elektronik GmbH in Schwaig near Munich.
“The past 25 years have been marked by continuous growth and very good business results for RAWE,” Hertkorn sums up. "This success was only possible thanks to our dedicated, motivated, and entrepreneurial employees. They are the ones our customers have relied on for years – and who support RAWE with their loyalty and commitment. One of our greatest strengths is that we master challenges together with the entire RAWE team."
On January 1, 2026, Marcos Piel and Philipp-Christoph Knittel will jointly take over the management of the company. The decision to appoint two CEOs reflects the company's continued growth and the increased demands on the management of the company, which now has around 300 employees.
Marcos Piel, who holds a degree in business administration, brings with him extensive experience from international corporate structures, particularly in the automotive and logistics sectors. Most recently, he was Head of Controlling at Demmel AG in Scheidegg, where his responsibilities included growth strategies and innovation projects. “I am very much looking forward to my new role at RAWE,” says Piel. “My goal is to further expand the company's position as a leading E²MS service provider. A key focus will be the consistent digitalization of our processes—but also the continuous optimization of existing processes wherever it makes sense.”
Philipp-Christoph Knittel, who has been with the company for several years as Key Account Manager and most recently as Head of Project Management, also sets clear priorities: "For me, the focus is on automation and further expansion of our
production processes and an even stronger customer and market orientation. The experience of recent years has shown how important it is to look at the big picture for the further development of RAWE."
The course for the future has been set – with new management, a strong team, and a clear strategic direction.
