From our founding in 1971 to today, we have decades of innovation, growth and commitment behind us.
2023
In June 2023, key assembly workstations will move to RAWE Electronic's new Production Plant 3 in Weiler im Allgäu. With the new building, Rawe is expanding its production area by over 2,000 square metres. RAWE is thus also investing in the future of the site. The new production facility will primarily assemble electronic systems and devices.
The fifth SMD assembly line will be put into operation in September 2023. The favourable economic situation of a German construction machinery manufacturer and a major order from the household appliance industry make this possible.
2022
The shortage of electronic components is the central challenge for the entire EMS industry. On 24 February 2022, Russia invades Ukraine, which fundamentally changes all forecasts and framework conditions for economic development in Germany and the world. The inflation rate in Germany is 7.9 %.
With sales of € 67.59 million, which are significantly higher than the previous year at +22.5% and also higher than the planned sales, RAWE is making it through the difficult year very successfully despite all the adversities.
As part of the digitalization strategy, a CAQ system is introduced in addition to new ERP software. The company's 50th anniversary is celebrated with an Oktoberfest with all employees and their families and friends, despite a delay due to the pandemic. A great event that will be remembered for a long time to come.
2021
"50 years of RAWE" - an anniversary year that cannot be properly celebrated due to the ongoing pandemic. The global economy is on a growth trajectory, while the already tight procurement market for electronic components is tightening dramatically. Recurring coronavirus outbreaks and material bottlenecks are the biggest challenges this year. With sales 5% above plan and 12% above the previous year, RAWE is coming through this extremely difficult year very well.
RAWE acquires 100% of Mair Elektronik GmbH in Schwaig near Munich with a branch in Lutherstadt Eisleben. A new ERP system is introduced at the turn of 2021/2022, a milestone for process optimization and organizational improvements.
2020
The consequences of the coronavirus pandemic and the measures to contain it have a significant impact on the global economy. RAWE has come through the crisis comparatively well. Despite a decline in sales, earnings are above plan and only slightly below the previous year. A new CAQ system is being introduced to further optimise processes and the "Introduction of a new ERP system" project launched in 2019 is running at full speed.
Dr Gerd Müller, Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, visits RAWE and learns about the manufacture of electronic assemblies in automated production during a tour of the company.
2019
Trade conflicts, BREXIT and structural change in the automotive industry characterize the global economy. The German electrical industry recorded a 4% decline at the end of the year.
RAWE is nevertheless growing against the trend and continues to invest in production.
A fully automated painting line goes into operation, the development department is delighted with a professional 3D printer and RAWE receives the BestEMS 2019 award in the “Markt&Technik” readers' poll.
2018

In addition to being named a premium supplier to Rational, RAWE is awarded the BEST EMS 2015 by the trade magazine Markt & Technik in the four categories
"Development Services", "Obsolescence Management", "Smart EMS" and "Leading Edge Manufacturing Technologies".
Another highlight is the move to a new production hall, which, in addition to expanding the production area, also enables the optimization of manufacturing processes and a more efficient logistics chain.
2014
Start of the production expansion.
On 8 December, the first excavators arrive at the company premises in Weiler and the excavation of the site begins. The extension with a production area of 2,000 square meters is directly connected to the assembly hall built 6 years ago.
Turnover increases again by around 13% compared to the previous year.

In the company's history a turnover of over € 30 million is achieved for the first time.
